Walk towards mouse cursor
Hey there!
Im using unity's third person controller prefab (for a top down project) and wanted to implement the functionality that the character is facing towards the current mouse position and also walking towards it when the user is pressing WASD and mouse button 1. The character is facing the mouse position, but still walks not to the mouse cursor position when pressing WASD but instead the normal direction. Any ideas how to fix that?
Heres the snippet where i implemented the look at function:
if(Input.GetButton("Fire1")){
Ray ray = Camera.main.ScreenPointToRay(Input.mousePosition);
RaycastHit hit;
if (Physics.Raycast (ray, out hit, 500, m_FloorMask)) {
Debug.Log (ray);
m_Rigidbody.rotation = Quaternion.LookRotation (hit.point);
}
Debug.Log ("fire1");
}
Here the complete code. I know that i need to update the walking/run forward direction, but no idea how. Already tried a few things without any success. Thanks in advance.
