hinge joint in character
I am making a character in Unity 2D. In the character's hand he holds a stick with a lantern at the end, and I want the lantern to be connected to the stick with a hinge joint, so that the physics are applied to the lantern. This is where I ran into trouble, in order to connect objects together they have to have rigidbody 2d components applied to them. This causes them to just fall, and I need them to stay with the rest of the body. Link to what happens ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXWboufEhpg&feature=youtu.be ).
Is there a way to do this? or should I just ditch the idea or animate it instead?
