Compiling Scipts shows and then Unity crashes.
So basically I messed up something a lot. Is there any hope I could get this project up and running again or is that unlikely?
I was editing a script and saved it into the Unity project.
Unity had become unresponsive.
I ended the process of Unity.
I reopened Unity and it showed "Compiling scripts" and loaded.
All of the scripts attached to objects had turned yellow and told me that the scripts could not be used.
A red warning had told me that "Assembly-CSharp.dll" and "Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll" could not be accessed.
I closed unity, deleted the Library files of the project and opened Unity again, in the hope that the ScriptAssembly files could be reimported.
It started reimporting all the assets.
It got to "Compiling scripts" and hung for about a minute before crashing and Unity Bug Reporter, giving this report continuously every time the project is loaded.
