How to make an object collide and trigger at the same time
First attempt at unity and I'm trying to setup boxes to fall down on a ground and when it hits the ground, it should stop moving. The issue I'm having is when I setup the box or the ground as a trigger, the box goes halfway into the ground and then stops. I then tried using a separate ground at the same position as a trigger, but I still get the same result. Any way to set it up so that I can get the box to collide with the ground and kick off a trigger without it going into the ground? Seems like a simple task, but I'm struggling with it.
Thanks!!

Hey, just solved the same issue.
Check this answer: https://forum.unity.com/threads/trigger-and-collider-possible-on-same-gameobject.179894/
You just need to create two child gameobjects of you ground, and put in each one the box collider (one of them with the trigger on).
Unity will handle all colliders/triggers as compound colliders.
