[Urgent] OnTriggerEnter behaving like OnTriggerStay
I've been working at this for nearly the entire day, and I've driven myself crazy over it. Essentially, I have the StandardAssets FPcontroller set up as the character. I have a spider enemy which has two trigger colliders in respective child objects - one smaller one for determining the distance to attack, one larger one for aggro range. The exact problem I've noticed is as follows:
Enter aggro trigger, message gets passed up and spider moves towards player
When player enters spider's attack trigger, spider begins to attack player
When player runs from spider, spider continues normal behavior UNTIL:
If player leaves the larger-encompassing AGGRO trigger, then returns to it...
The next time the player would enter the spider's ATTACK trigger area, instead of OnTriggerEnter playing once, it behaves very erratically: By spamming TriggerEnter and TriggerExit every tick. Sort of like OnTriggerStay.
Does anyone have any experience with this bug/my error and have a working solution or suggestion? I'm working on this game for a contest and only have a day and a half left. SEND HELP!
