Believable melee ai
So currently I have created an AI that works the following way:
Patrol Area & Look for player
If play is seen
Move towards player
Attack if is in range
While this is fine it doesn't really feel that believable to be quite frank it seems very tedious and boring. So I would like to make him more believable but I really don't know where to start.
Could some of you share your experience and maybe even some methods to accomplish more believable and intelligent AI?

Behaviour Tree is an AI technique to build reactive AI. With this technique you can easily write complex behaviour that look convincing while keeping your code readable and manageable.
If you want to learn more about Behaviour Tree, here are some online resources.
Have a look at Panda BT. It's a scripting framework based on Behaviour Tree. There is a free version of the package on the Assets Store, which contains examples to get you started. The examples also contains patrol/chase/attack behaviours.
