Why do I not get Standard Assets?
I installed Unity 5.50f3 personal (64 bit). In the installer, standard assets was one of the entries that was checked so it is clearly included in the installation.
When I create a new project, the assets window is empty. Why?
I have read existing posts on the topic, but I was not allowed to make any comments in them.

Because although you've installed the assets on your hard drive, you've not imported them into this project.
Go Assets -> Import Package and select the asset(s) you want.
