Importing Ocean Animation from Blender
Can an imported plane with the ocean modifier (from blender) work in Unity??

Hey!
There's a way around it. What you could do is basically "bake" the wave modifier's effect on the plane, by baking vertex animations in blender (vertex cache or something like that). After baking, you'd have a .MDD file available. Export your model and feed it to unity.
But to preview the vertex animation, you'd need Megafiers, or something like that to read your vertex cache animation (the .MDD file), as Unity doesn't yet support vertex animations.
Cheers!
So i need $$anonymous$$egafiers only to preview the animation...I dont need it for the game right??
You'd have to keep $$anonymous$$egafiers' assets within your project to be able to run the vertex animations in your Unity game.
So, in essence, you need $$anonymous$$egafiers.
Cheers!
