Video not importing with sound (2017.3)
I'm rebuilding my project from Unity 2017.1 to 2017.3 (I have to rebuild from scratch because the old Vuphoria build I made isn't playing nicely with the integrated Vuphoria)
I can't seem to get video files (.mp4) to play their sound. This is a problem in the editor, when playing and when building for Android.
Other sounds work fine - when I hit 'play' in the inspector I can hear them it is just the video files.
The video files have sound. When I double click on them they play fine in an external player, but when I hit play in the editor they are silent. The 'Import Audio' checkbox is checked and I have tried unchecking it and rechecking it.
The only thing I have not yet done is tried converting it to .ogv myself and using that. I'm dealing with dozens of movie files for augmented-reality linked targets and that will be a huge pain in my workflow if that has to be done... especially since it never needed to before.
I want to reiterate that the sound does not even play in the EDITOR - so comments on how my VideoPlayer might be set up are not helpful. All the searching I have found so far have had to do with the VideoPlayer (or MovieTextuers) but I don't even get that far with my problem - the sound doesn't play in the editor.
Ok I bit the bullet and converted it to .ogv. That didn't work either.
