Cube map performance on Android
Hello all,
has anyone some numbers about cube map performance on Android mobile devices versus standard texture performance in a shader? I think it could be optimized to be the same speed on hardware level, but I do not find any information on this.
So the question is: if I use a cubemap instead of a Texture2D in a shader, will I get a performance hit? And if yes, how much performance is lost?
(I think this is pretty much an OpenGL ES 2.0 question, not a Unity question)
Have you figured out? I have same question for Android and iOS.
