lightinglightmapping
is progressive lightmapper normally that slow?
Hi,
I am running Unity 2017.1.04p . I have 8GB of RAM ,Nvidia GTX 1060 and an i7 with 8 cores
I know it is still in preview (i.e experimental) but in the docs, it says that "Newly created scenes have the progressive lightmapper enabled by default", however it is not the case for me. Furthermore, when I do switch over to progressive, my memory usage spikes to 100% which at this point Windows kills Unity. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar performance hit while switching over to Progressive? Also, does progressive lightmapper utilize the GPU or is it still a CPU dependent? thanks,
