Revit, Point Clouds and VR experience. Need help.
I've looked at a couple of posts semi-related to my question, but they are older posts, and I wanted to see if there was any new info that I needed.
I am taking a point cloud created by a FARO scanner and combining it with a 3D model made in Revit. I assume I can combine those 2 in Revit. (I'm actually a video producer helping the engineer work out the work flow) After combining them in Revit, I would then bring that model into Unity to make a VR experience for a client to "VR Walkthrough." Correct? Is it better to combine those two elements in Unity instead?
And lastly... Are the any tricks or issues, currently, with importing the Revit model into Unity for this purpose?
One last thing... any recommendations on the hardware for showing the client the VR? We are looking at Occulus and VizWorld.
Thanks for any help!
Tommy
