First person mobile touch control moving in the direction the player is facing
well i'm not sure if my request is too complicated, but i'm quite new to unity and i'm having a hard time understanding the mobile inputs, though my game is not difficult at all.
i'm working on a first person android game, and what i already have is a gyro controller which rotates the player around (and the main camera is a child of the player).
since i already have the rotation module, all i need is joystick-like module that moves the player in the direction that it's facing - even by just touching anywhere on the screen without any GUI.
meaning that there is actually no need of joystick somewhat display, but only a command that tells the player to move to it's current 'forward' direction as long as the screen is touched. i guess it's quite simple but i just can't find a tutorial that fits my needs... can anyone explain to me how to use the touch inputs or give me an example of a script for it?
thanks :)
here's a video that approximately describes my intentions (in the video i meant to refer only to the left finger that makes the player move)-
