Best way of storing userdata [Multiplayer]

So I plan on using uNet since it is really nice now, compared to before.. However I am making a friends list system, and want to store stuff, what is the best way to do this? shall I opt to external software?

Sounds like you need some sort of database on your server. You could narrow it down based on your preference of database (mysql, mongoDB, etc...), availability/price of 3rd party code and what platform you want to run the server on...

To answer your question: $$anonymous$$y preference is mysql, but as far as i know it is not possible to use that with uNet?

And i wanna run the server on linux.

You have 2 options: 1. connect your Unity server with WWW class to a webserver using your favorite stack 2. use mysql in Unity directly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc$$anonymous$$tGCDeFDg (it's in french but code is visible)
