unity asset store freezes the editor

hi guys, been getting this issue lately and just started randomly, unity freezes completely after the unity asset store loads the home page. the ui highlights when i hover the mouse over the categories on the right, but after the home screen loads fully within a few seconds unity just completely freezes. i have upgraded to the newest version as well 5.3 and still same problem, doesn't seem to be a version issue so i dont know whats causing it. i have also turned off my firewall to test if that was blocking something but doesn't seem to be the case since the homepage loads perfectly fine. and the top bar which automatically scrolls still works but the editor and store is non functional anyone know how to fix this issue?
