Simulation of vision impairments like Glaucoma and Cataract
Hello all Unity guru's
I have just started on a project where I have made a simulation of vision impairments like Glaucoma and Cataract. And I want to see if I can manage to do this project in a different or maybe a more effective way. Say with a particle-filter or some kind of a shader.
This is how I solved it. I created the filters-overlays in Photoshop and made them transparent.
Then I added two planes with the filter-overlays added as a texture. The two planes were put in front of the cameras each representing the left and right eye. (as child objects so they follow the camera movements)
To get the left camera not showing the right plane when I looked to the right I added layer on each plane. Left and right. Then I sat the Culling mask on the left camera to the layer I did not want to se. And I did the same for the right eye. Then I sat the Target Eye on each of the cameras to left and right eye.
I then Build the project and installed it on to Oculus GO
It works!!! Yeeeeey (:
But I am happy with any suggestions
