Trouble sending a file to the HoloLens (using Google Drive)
I'm using a Google Tango with the Constructor app to scan an object and display it on the HoloLens. Currently it works like this:
Upload .zip (generated by Constructor) containing an .obj to drive
My app running in Editor downloads it from my C:/Google Drive and moves it to Assets
My app extracts the .zip and loads the .obj that is extracted into the scene (still in Editor)
The .obj is displayed on the Hololens through Holographic Remoting.
The problem here is that I have to run the app in the Editor, as I'm unable to find a way to let a standalone UWP app download from Google Drive and extract it.
What I want is this:
Upload the .zip to Google Drive.
Have the UWP running on the HoloLens grab the .zip file directly from drive and unzip it.
Load the .obj
Or any other way that removes the need for the Editor to be running as a middleman. Is this possible? And if not, what would the best way to go be that at least removes the need for Remoting?
Thanks!
