2.5D Game multiple paths(routes)
Hey Guys,
I am doing a project for college and my knowlege of code is minimal. I downloaded the advanced 2.5D Platformer package to help me get started. Basically I am making a 2.5D game set in a cave. I have the character moving jumping ect but I want him to be able to choose different paths, i.e take high ground over low ground or stick to the middle route. In short I would love to know how to make various paths that the player can choose to take.

As it is 2.5D he is also constrained so there is no 4 or 8 way movement, I simply want the player to choose a path
Cheers everyone!
All help much apprichiated!
I know it is but I am at a super basic level, not much else I can do but ask for help. I was looking at iTween and the spline controller but both make take control from the character, I still want to control the character but follow the path when you walk in that direction. Sorry about the super general "how to code" style of questioning!

If you want to use iTween, you can use iTween.PutOnPath() and/or iTween.PointOnPath(). You would then manage the 'fraction' parameter in your code to make the character move along the specified path. As for selecting among multiple paths, just create an array of paths and then use Random.Range() to select which path. Note that the integer version of of Random.Range() is exclusive of the max value.
I answered a question awhile back that had a car switching between different iTween paths. Some of the logic in that question might help with your project:
