Unity hangs when opening a project.
Hello, whenever I open unity it just sits and hangs and nothing happens. I am currently using arch linux and I have installed unity through the chaotic aur. But all that does is it just takes the binary from the unity website and puts it into an arch package. So in terms of what is actually running, its normal unity. The version that is currently installed is 2019.4.24f1. I looked in the log, (~/.config/unity3d/Editor.log) and It is a 244 thousand line file filled mostly with the following.
Assertion failed on expression: 'processed == fileSize'
(Filename: ./Modules/AssetDatabase/Editor/V2/FileHasher.cpp Line: 367)
Some extra info: Hub works fine. I can open a blank project without unity hanging. I haven't tried with any other projects since this happened ~15 minutes into working on my first project. Unity first froze when I was writing some C# so it might be related to that since I know that C# support on linux is the worst. Sending a SIGTERM doesn't do anything, the only way I can quit the editor is by SIGKILLing it. I'm pretty new to unity (but not programming or game engines) so this might have an obvious answer..
Does anybody know what's wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.
