creating environments and characters for a 2d game
im a little new to the whole process of making a game, and i have a small question: how do you draw out the environments and characters for use in unity? im doing this for an art project, on a school computer, so it would help if it's some software i can easily install/move the files into unity for animation and such.

You will need to research into 3D Modelling. This is what everything is made out of in a 3D game, objects that have been modelled in programs like 3ds Max, Maya, or Blender. They are then exported to Unity, where you can place them in scene.
I personally recommend blender, because it's free, and has most of the features the paid ones like Maya have. It also animates using bones. There are alot of blender tutorials out there to get you started, google it!
