Access to "Vertical Blanking" signal ?
Hi
Is it possible to get access to the "Vertical Blanking" signal in a script?
From time to time I need to do some extensive recalculations, some concerning gameobjects so I can't use threading.
Currently I'm using the time.realtime() to yield every 1/60:th second, but that's not synchronized with the "screen refresh" = "Vertical Blanking".
Obviously it seems that Unity are aware of "Vertical Blanking", used in "Quality Settings (VSync Count)".
The idea are to let my calculations continue to the next VSync, game and screen updates get the time they need, and my calculations the rest.
A counter would be fantastic. Easy to asynchronously detect VSync event.
