Faux Retro Pixel Art Rotation
Hi all,
I am new to Unity and I am currently working on a faux retro game with pixel art, where the sprites, despite looking all pixel-ly, are actually high in resolution and the camera is not pixel perfect. (good examples of this would be the graphics for Starbound or Terraria.) I wish to be able to rotate each pixel art sprite without having the pixel size get distorted. (See attachment) Would this be a matter of choosing the right PPU and tweaking the camera? Or is my image resolution too low? I've been stuck on this for almost a week now. If you can help, it would be much appreciated! Thanks! Things I've already tried:
Setting import settings to point filter and turning compression off
Turning off anti-aliasing on all quality levels
Making sure my sprites are all even number resolution
Setting aspect ratio to 16:9 and following this list to set camera size https://pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/
Tried many pixel perfect scripts that people made, but they don't support sprite rotation.
