Unity freezes when building a project - when Building Resources Folder
A few days ago, everything was working fine, but from now on, at any project I tested, when I tell Unity to Build it, it will freeze at "Building resources folder". When I check the project page, it will not be there (it will freezes before the folder is created). I need to kill the Unity task to unfreeze it. Re-installing has not fixed this, I have no idea what to do.
Bit of a longshot: if you find your editor log file, does it have any information that might be useful?
Ohhh, Sorry, I had not seen your answer before, I was not familiar on how Unity answer works, I thought it was like a forum, sorry
I could not find the Log files for the file being built - I think it freezes before the log can be output. I did found a file in the Temp folder of Unity, but I couldn't find anything useful on it. I posted the entire thing in case someone is interested, but I'm not even sure if that is the right file.

Either way, thanks for the input.

try to clean ProjectSettings (or just remove ProjectSettings.asset in ProjectSettings folder)
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, that didn't work out :( Also, I tried uninstalling and installing Unity again, but that didn't work too. Also, The problem happens at all my projects not just a single one. Wish I could give more information, but I have no idea about what is going on.
Sweet Jesus you saved my sanity! $$anonymous$$y project was building fine and then one day it started using over 3.5GB of memory to try and make a build. Deleted my project settings file, restored the other settings and now its back at under a Gig. Thanks so much!!
Yep, deleteing ProjectSettings.asset from the ProjectSettings folder was the fix for me.
1000 thx. :)

I Found The Problem! Basically its the trees, if you have trees in your screen they take ages to build if you remove the trees then its faster, so it doesn't freeze it just tries to build all them trees

It might seem overly simple, but I resolved this problem when I had it by closing and re-opening Unity.
