Making a texture influence particle lifetime
I wanted to make each particle of a system have a different lifetime depending on the location from which they spawn on the emitter shape.
I put a texture with alpha inside the Shape module, as you can see in the image above, unfortunately it seems that the only influence this texture can have is on color and alpha. At least in the version I have to use, 2019.4. I would love to find a way to have that texture influence each particle's lifetime. Would that even possible, and how I would make that work?
I have only started working with Unity and particles recently, so my knowledge is still pretty basic but I don't mind going more in depth as long as I know in which direction to go. Cheers!
