Uninstall/Reinstall
After seening that several effects are mission from my Unity, I attempted to uninstall/re-install, thinking that the missing elements would be restored. After Unity was down-loaded, I opened it for the first time, to see the last project I was working on, and again, the same elements appear to be missing. What more can I do?
Again, I attempted to remove Unity and any associated file from my computer, did a restart, and downloaded Unity for the 3rd time. I'm seeing the same thing, and missing the same elements as before.
So, what's missing? Is there anything written to the editor log?
I'm not exactly sure about an editor log. I know I've tried to remove anything and everything associated with Unity (for the 4th time now), and I even installed it to another location within the root drive, just to be sure there weren't some latent files. I'm still co$$anonymous$$g up with the same missing items from the Unity download. I have since d/l a copy to my hard drive, and installed it from there, thinking that maybe installing it from the site might be causing the issue. No change it seems.
Okay, I just found the editor log, apparently, it is searching for files from the old install location. Not sure how to clear the error log, but that was a great place for me to get started. I'll keep digging into it, and see what comes.
