Gamepad rumble independent motors
I have been playing around with the New Input System and wanted to try to get some advanced haptics going.
I'm trying to make it fun to just press buttons using your system; I want the controller to react to any button presses the User makes by independently rumbling the side(s) of the controller using different Haptics depending on what actions the User is taking.
If possible, I'd like to:
set the strength/side of the haptics that are triggered through your system (ex: rumble each side depending on which trigger is being used)
play multiple haptics at the same time additively (ex: play "Button1" haptic while "Alert1" haptic is running)
(Side note: I'm also using "Good Vibrations" from the asset store, which works well with the new input system, but am open to different approaches)
I was able to implement the "SetMotorSpeeds" method found in the documentation but it plays a constant rumbling when activated. I was hoping to set the motor strengths and then send different vibrations as button presses occur. Maybe I'm approaching it incorrectly?
For example, I'd like to rumble the pad on the left side if the left trigger is held down and pulse the right side of the gamepad when the A button is pressed. Thanks... I look forward to learning some cool stuff about haptics!
