Model Dismemberment with attached Armor (Like Fallout 4)
How can one approach dismemberment when equipment is also over a mesh?
If there was a naked mesh, I'd apply cuts in Blender beforehand and have it destructible in Unity.
However, let's imagine this mesh as a character. This character has full body armor on. How do I approach dismemberment with the armor mesh now applied to this base character? Do I need to apply cuts in Blender for the armor as well?
Fallout 4 handles this situation exactly like I'd like it to. All human characters can have equipment or not. But whatever armor sets they might have on can be dismembered along with the actual character mesh.
Sorry if I'm mixing up any terminology, I hope that I got the question across well enough. What's a good approach for this issue?
