Unity editor crashing on Intel graphics on Macbook Pro
Hi all.
I have been running 5.2 absolutely fine on a Macbook Pro with GeForce 650M. My girlfriend recently upgraded from Unity 4.x to Unity 5 and her project crashes horribly. After some experimentation I discovered that it will work fine as long as we force the shadows to be at super low resolution. But it's not that project - just starting an entirely new project and adding a sphere will make the editor crash. I'm not sure if it's the shadows in that case as I decided to come running to the internet to see if anyone else is getting this problem first - have had a good search but not come up with much so far.
Anyone know what's going on? Is it just that the Intel graphics on Macbooks are just not capable of running the Unity editor now?
Apparently 5.2 works fine for her but any version after that does not work.
