Multi Controller Support for UI
Hello, i have run into a small issue while working on my Uni project, we require the need for multi controller support which is possible for a PC game, have done this in the past. however we require each user to configure their characters before the game starts and their team. i know of the btn.Select(); method but it will only allow 1 UI element to be active at a time.
is their a way to allow 4 controllers to select their own section of the UI on a single canvas.
there are a few ways i was thinking about trying this, but would prefer if someone already knows of an implementation and if im going to be wasting my time or not.
1) in the lobby screen give each player a Separate Camera, this does not allow for a full image background then.
2) write a script that fakes the elements being selected in the players selectable UI view as of what i know of i can use an Array of Selecatble objects and replace the UI from the previous and the next accordingly by the users input. this is what i currently have for individual Input by 1 controller so i know this will work, but will require a bit of time to setup correctly.
please let me know if anyone has a workaround for this would really appreciate it.
