Question by FlintCLeaver · Sep 27, 2012 at 11:05 AM · iosiphonexcodeios6

Which version of Xcode does Unity 3.5.5f3 support?

I currently have Xcode 4.4.1 and just BARELY allows me to build successfully and run - only when I build from unity with iOS5.1 and the same from Xcode 5.1. Which versions are you iOS devs using? And is there any insight on when iOS6 builds will be supported? I'm itching to update my iPod touch to iOS6 but I still need it for testing purposes (it's currently 5.1)

ahh my problem seems to be once again that I use unity basic licenses. Since I can't change the splashscreen in basic a weird error happens in xcode that changes the name of the default splash screen causing unity to lock up and state i can't change the default splash. ppl with pro don't have this problem as I've read about similar issues online. my XCode 4.4.1 is the only version that supports $$anonymous$$ountain Lion OS 10.8.2 and doesn't have that error. okay .. thanks for everyone's help

Yes i've also discovered the problems with splash screens, etc. - Luckily there is 3.5.6 now which fixes those issues. I have tried it today.

My configuration never changes, regardless my Unity or Xcode versions:

 SDK Version: iOS latest
 Target iOS version: 3.1.3

With a target less than 3.1.3 you can't target iPad devices, so with this configuration you can reach most devices. (Every iPad and every iPhone with at least 3.1.3).

I hope it helps.

which version of XCode do you use though? When I try anything but SD$$anonymous$$ latest and Target 5.1 I can never get it to build properly in XCode.

At the moment I'm using Xcode 4.3.3 and Unity 3.5.5f3. But I've been using this config since I start using Unity, it never failed me.
