How to make it so that when quit menu is clicked then quit menu canvas pops up?

I want to make it so that when i click the exit button on the main menu, a canvas pops up saying"Are you sure you want to quit?". I have made the canvas but don't know how to do the scripting. Help will be appreciated!

Try to explain it clearly like 'I made the canvas pop up with panel and button' or anything like that.
