2D, collision with background
Hello community,
Complete Unity-noob here. I wanted to make a "top-down" space game, where you have platforms, that you can extend by placing blocks. Upload doesn't work, here is a imgur link: https://i.imgur.com/OKjFANo.png
How can i make it, that the player collides with the background when he reaches the end of the platform? Currently the background pushes me off the platform as soon as i start the game. (It is a tilemap with tilemap-collider)
As i said i want it to be dynamic, so that when you place a block (ingame) it appears above the space layer and now you can walk on it.
I dont think layers work, as i thought they would, where the "ground" layer overwrites the "background" layer.
Sorry for such a basic question and thank you very much for any help you can provide me with.
I'd love to help, but am having a little trouble understanding your problem and question. When the character gets to the end of a platform, do you want him to stop, like hitting a wall? What do you mean "collide with the background"?
