Need a current (unity 5) method for saving an inventory/shop item status (bought/not bought binary)
I've thought of a few ways, like a playerprefs a number of 1s and 0s and converting to string and taking an index. Also playerprefsx sounds promising, but it was made for unity 3 I think. Is there a current way for saving an array/list of data in unity 5?
Update: If anyone's wondering what I mean by the playerprefs route, I mean something along the lines of
PlayerPrefs.SetString("itemsOwned", "0001001000");
if (PlayerPrefs.GetString("itemsOwned")[4] == 1)
{
item is owned
}
But I wonder if theres issues with really long numbers being saved, say 100 items means 100 digits in the int.
Update2: My bad, would use SetString and GetString (just realised if I saved 00001010 as an int its gonna become 1010 -_-)
