Outline shader not working
Im trying to get this outline shader working: http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php/Silhouette-Outlined_Diffuse by following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00qMZlacZQo.
Otherwise it works, but the diffuce is all black, unline on the video. What could be wrong? I am using Unity 5.2, is that maybe somehow not combatible with this shader code from 2013?
There were quite a few changes to shaders. Something about automatic x2 light intensity blah blah, previously. The page that stated all this no longer exists in the manual.
It is tricky debugging shaders but the advice is to attempt to get anything other than black out of it and go from there. you do this by making sure that at each step, the numerical data is within the required ranges. $$anonymous$$ake changes one at a time. Exaggerate numbers if you need to, just to work out when the shader breaks to display black.
So yes, its not you.

There are similar hits on google if you just search the Shader title. You are not the first to hit these issues ;)
Thanks. But I dont think the problem is Unity 5, as the Youtube video I posted is also about Unity 5 and the shader works there. Unless they changed something to the 5.2..
