Is there a replacement for AssetDatabase.CanOpenAssetEditor

I was following a tutorial but the person used AssetDatabase.CanOpenAssetEditor however, it does not exist anymore and I can't find a replacement in the API. Is there one available I am just not seeing.,Was following a tutorial and found out AssetDatabase.CanOpenAssetEditor does not exist anymore despite the API not saying its obsolete is there a replacement for it?
