Question by gummybug12 · Oct 11, 2015 at 03:08 PM · transformpositiontransform.position

How do i make my background keep the same position as my character?

So ive been working on a 2d game, and so far it's pretty smooth. the only problem is when i flip my character, it flips the background because it is a child of my character (i did this to prevent him from walking out of the background area) so i removed it as a child, which fixes the flipping problem, but now my original problem arises again. is there any code i can throw in Update() that would set the x position of my background to the same x position as my character?

Nvm, after extensive research and over a half hour of testing i managed to figure it out myself.

You might want to post what you did, just in case someone comes across this thread with a similar problem.
