Mix and match animations
Hey, I need help figuring out a structure for my 3D animations in the animator so that I can easily mix and match them in different combinations. Let's say I have 10 attack animations, and then I create 3 different weapons in my game. I want to be able to pick a few animations for each weapon without having to create specific animation combinations for each new weapon I add.
Right now I'm trying to give the animations int IDs and then letting the weapons assign a few IDs each. And then I put all the animations in a sub state machine something like this: link:text
If I make transitions to each animation and use the ID as parameter it works fine to enter this sub machine and go to the animation that I want. But I don't really know how to easily go from one animation to another.
Any ideas for how to do this or another approach?
