How to Include Project Settings when Submitting for Asset Store?

Hello, I am trying to submit a complete project to asset store and I want to include Project Settings folder as well because it includes different layers, tags etc. I have seen several asset store packages which do include Project Settings. I just don't know how to do that. If I select main folder of my project, one folder above the Assets folder, I get the following error:

Wong Project Path

The path selected must be inside the currently active project. Note that the AssetStoreTools folder is removed automatically before the package enters the asset store.

How to fix this? Thank you.

Hey I think I found the answer. Haven't tested it tho, still waiting for my last update to get approved. Its from this thread.

To quote:

Hi :),

just an adjucated guess: setting the category of your product to Complete Projects in the AssetStoreManager seems to do the trick.

As far as I'm aware this feature is currently not documented.

I also thought that Unity-packages didn't support including the project settings. I then updated MrMoustache with updated versions of Unity and AssetStoreTools. When the new version went live, I imported the package from the AssetStore into a new project. I was quite supprised, when I saw the project-settings got imported from the unity-package.

Hope this helps :).

But as the user at the end of the thread said, maybe its better to make an editor script to adjust those settings our asset needs with a click of a button, instead of importing and possibly overwriting the other persons project settings completely with our own, if we just need a tag or layer or two.

If you get error message "The path selected must be inside the currently active project. Note that the AssetStoreTools folder is removed automatically before the package enters the asset store." Make sure that you'r path is correct. For some bizarre reason my "Assets" folder was named "assets" ( a was in lowercase ). When I fixed this mistake I was able to upload my package.
