HTC, and other Androids with sense UI reloads sense UI when the home button is hit

The problem happens when the user hits the hardware home button on an Android phone that has a sense UI. When the hardware home button is hit the game goes to the background as per usual, but upon returning to the home screen the sense UI reloads. I've only managed to test this on an HTC Incredible 2, but it's been reported on other phones that use a sense interface.

Anyone have an idea what might be the cause of this?

If you don't understand the problem I'm trying to describe, and you have a phone that has a sense UI, you can check it out, just DL the free copy of Fire and Dice. Once downloaded, select New Game, and once it has loaded, hit the hardware home button.
