Water4 Advanced Edge blend Not working with GearVR

Hello, I am creating a tropical scene for the GearVR with Unity, and for the water I use the Water4 Advanced asset, which is a standard unity asset. When I enable edge blend it looks fine in the editor, but when I look at it with the GearVR it looks striped and turns with the camera. I am unable to make a screenshot of it, because it only happens with the GearVR. I was however able to narrow the problem down to the calculation of screenPos variable within the FXWater4Advanced shader. Do I have to change these calculations specifically for the GearVR? And if so, how?
