Local Multiplayer Player Select Screen with new Unity GUI
I've been trying to wrap my brain around how to go about doing this with no luck. Basically I have a character selection screen that allows up to 4 local players to join and change things about their character such as color and name. I was easily able to get the join working for each player but am having trouble isolating selection to each player's own character selection panel.
Basically, I want to isolate input control to your own character selection panel so that you cannot select things from other player's character selection panel. It also seems that the EventSystem doesn't allow for multiple controllers. For example, all controllers fight over control of a single cursor.
Getting local multiplayer inputs to work for everything else has been easy but for some reason I just don't get how to do it for the new Unity GUI.
How do?

I was having similar problems due to only having one standalone input module. I've ended up using Rewired from the store for input and in the multiplayer menus I do not use the standalone input module, I've written my own code to iterate through the possible selections and used Rewired to isolate input from specific players.
