Solution for the FPS Character Controller falling through terrain 2018.3 Version
I struggled with this issue for a while. When I played the game, I fell through my terrain. When I looked up at the terrain, it seemed like there was nothing underneath. So here is the solution:
If this issue didn't occur before, make sure you have copies of previous work. You can go back and analyse through the copies to see what changed (this helped me find how to fix it).
Make sure your FPS Character Controller has Use Gravity and Is Kenematic ticked.
DO NOT fiddle with the camera of the FPS Character Controller. This messes up the camera view of the Controller. If you do, you may appear lower or high than actually set.
Go to Terrain - Click Add Component - Go to Physics - Click on TERRAIN COLLIDER
Unity may tell you that the collider is different to other colliders previously used. Just click Assign.
Hopefully this helps!
