C# Script to set renderer to animated gif
I have 1000 GIF files of avatar skins.
I have one avatar object. The player can choose which one of the thousand gif images it wants to be.
The gifs have different number of frames in them.
I know Unity doesn't natively support animated .gifs, but is there a C#-Script/way to set the GIF and loop its animation? I have a object with an Image (UI) component I want to set to.
I want to load the animated gif via Resources.Load()
.
Bare in mind there are 1000 GIFs numbered 1 to 1000.GIF, is there a easy way to do this?
Thanks!
