Is it possible to add real footage in Unity?
That is, is it possible to import pictures from a camera?
Or to detect where there are objects in the picture and then build the objects in unity?

Umm yeah I guess.
Just select the picture that you got from your Camera, which was then transferred to your computer from your camera.
Then drag that picture into unity3d folder > Project Sumthin > Assets. or Drag and drop it into unity while it's open and running.
And the second question. uhh, your talking something like facebook where you can see comments or sumthn when you move your mouse over a specific spot in the picture. Yeah Unity can do that but you gotta learn some UI.
But uhh.. I don't think it can Create the Image you Selected with out any reference Lol. That's like. Uhh nvm.
The only way you can do that is by creating the object yourself (Such as a Box)with blender or what ever, and then when your player selects the object(Such as that Box) the 3d Object will then be given to the player which was a prefab and yadayada yada. There's a lot more to it. But yeah.
My best advice is.. Do your Research bud! You'll be tasking and not asking. : )
