Question by Calos1591 · Jan 12, 2016 at 04:52 PM · triggerbugversionboxcollider2dbalance

Which one is the most balanced and non bug Unity 5 version.?

Hi there.

I'm developing this video-game which progress is 100% complete. I'm currently in testing phase. (Alpha) I started to develop it in September 2014 using Unity 4.3.4f4 version. I did not want upgrade to Unity 5 because I was afraid the game to be affected by some weird bug or reason but I had a problem. x86 exe's werent working. So anyone who had a 32bits windows could never play my game. Facing that issue I thought I had not option so I upgraded to Unity 5, Unity 5.1.1 looked like were 100% fine. New problems. All my saved gizmo's were lost. I had to many events I mean events by a gameObject and some important script added to it. That wasn't enough. I made some events were activated using BoxCollider2D but using the X or Y size with its minimum value (0.00001) I reduced it yes. And it worked so perfectly in 4.3.4. Baaammm! In unity 5.1.1 that bugged me a loot of things. So firstly I had not gizmo's so that made the the things more difficult and then I had to find all the events that I was using with BoxColliders (Size X=0.00001 or Y= 0.000001) and then my project were going to be balanced again. All seems to be perfect after lose about a couple of weeks ( can't work in my project all day). So I started to add some new UI features. Really cool and manageable. And then I said "Okay now is time to build and see what's happens". All seems perfect when I did resize my game screen. Puf, there are not UI elements. Omg.... Alright so I said "let's keep calm" So being afraid I decided to upgrade to Unity 5.3.0. Yeah a risked decision. You don't know what hell of bugs are waiting for you. Yeah now I'm in Unity 5.3.0 everything okay. It looked like I had not to change something. So I said "alright let's build and see what's going on". Bammmgg, some events didn't response. Those events by trigger (BoxCollider2D, CircleCollider2D or Polygon). Again. Let's check this again. Some bosses bugged. Some level's events bugged. I feel it becomes endless. I was reading over there and seems to be Unity 5.3.0 have some problems with Colliders and triggers and devs promise to fix in incoming patches. I had to do too much crazy things in Update to fix Triggers and Colliders issues. What I'm most afraid of is.... what else? what else is bugged? How many hordes of bugs are waiting for me.

If you feel curiosity about my game here's my web site link. Long time without updating new info. http://mmejiadeveloper.wix.com/mmejiadevelopment#!quienes-somos1/c1xtp

Alright so my main question is. Which one is the most balanced Unity 5 version?

Thanks for your time Greetings.
