Is there anyway to have file extensions in project window WITHOUT using 2 column layout?
Hello Developers!
I really need to see file extensions in the project window but I don't want to use 2 column layout; Any means available?
Thanks by the way

I've been waiting for this for 10 years. :-\ I don't think they are going to change their mind anytime soon. I'm not really sure what the rationale is for going out of the way to hide them, but it would be terribly useful to see them.
My project naming is pretty uninspired, and I tend to have a lot of player.blend, player.cs, and player.psd, etc in the same directory. It's terribly useful to be able to tell which is which without clicking on all of them or duplicating the extension in the filename itself.

@slembcke2 aah thanks anyways, naming your files with their extensions included, will not have a good appearance out of the Unity, but it awfully solves the problem in the unity;
Still no reasonable way for this problem...
