Issues adding project to cloud build with invitation

I had received an invitation to a specific email address and was prompted to create an account to accept. Unfortunately, I had set up the account under a different email address. So in my settings I changed my email address to the necessary one for the cloud build.

I have tried being re-invited to the cloud build, still with no success.

'An error occurred while loading builds for this project.' and 'No Project Could Be Found' in the projects tab.

I am not able to create a new account under the same email address.. is the best option to change my email address again and then create a new account? Or is there a way to salvage my current account and get access to the project on Cloud Build.
