Please pay attention to the space a question is being asked in
Please pay attention to the space a question is asked in before publishing, and don't publish programming questions to the META space.
Checking -- you can't tell the Space from the $$anonymous$$od Q, right? You have to open up the Q in a new window?
It seems like the Qs I've seen in $$anonymous$$ETA have been obvious HelpRoom's. If they had to be approved, it was by a $$anonymous$$od who doesn't understand the idea of Spaces in the first place.
I'd guess some $$anonymous$$ETA Q's are a $$anonymous$$od using $$anonymous$$ove->HelpRoom and hitting the wrong option.
Hmm, I thought for sure you could see it there, but I guess not. $$anonymous$$y workflow is generally doing a batch of questions then checking out the meta and moderator spaces and moving any that I see there so they get noticed that way.
Thanks for making this noticeable. There are a lot of users that do not know how to properly use Answers, and it sort of frustrates me. I have a small sense of being proud for my small amount of karma, and it's a shame I'm sitting at a measly 24% acceptance rate simply because users don't ever accept an answer.
I actually posted this idea to combat it in the feedback. If you're interested, I'd like for you to take a gander: https://feedback.unity3d.com/suggestions/clean-up-answers
I'm thinking users will be notified with a banner at the top of the page if they have old questions that are still opened (say 2 weeks old). If they don't do anything, the post would eventually be closed and they will lose karma. Eventually, they will get to the point where they're below the 15 karma mark, and have to wait moderation queue again. I think it'd be a great learning experience, plus quickly clean up Answers within 2 weeks.
After the launch of this feature, at the 2 week mark, Unity Answers would be revived!
Let me know what you think.
