Share bones between two objects
I have a character that can wear different types of clothes which are represented by objects attached to the character. I want both the character and the clothing to be animated by the same set of bones. However when I import the character and the clothing and put them into a scene as game objects, the clothing uses a duplicate set of bones and is animated separately from the character.
I am using a work around where I parent each bone of the clothing to the counterpart of the character. It does the job, but I feel this is very inefficient, tedious, awkward, and confusing in the long run and would like to know a method that allows the bones to be shared across both objects and is able to be scripted later on.
