How to check if sprites are overlapping and by how much?
Hi is there a way to check if a sprite is overlapping with another sprite? I have a bunch of irregular shapes that do not require physics, but I need to know if my main sprite character is touching any other sprites. Using colliders would be too expensive for the project I'm working on. If anyone has used Phaser JS, there is a method to check if a sprite is overlapping with any other sprites, so I can imagine Unity would have something similar, but I can't find it.
Thanks!
You could try using your own bounding boxes/sphere system if you don't want accuracy but want performance...
